There are a lot of new HVAC features that are making units more efficient than ever. A variable speed motor is one feature that has made heating and cooling systems a lot more efficient than ever before. The indoor air handler provides the energy to move the air through the ductwork of your HVAC system. the indoor handler is composed of your fan and your motor and can be in a central air conditioner or a heat pump. In most standard cooling and heating systems, the fan and motor run at one speed, meaning they are either on or off. A variable speed motor can use new technology to change the speed of the fan and motor, based on your HVAC needs. There are a lot of advantages to having speed variables on the indoor air handler of your HVAC unit. Instead of turning off completely when a temperature is reached the unit simply slows down it’s fan. This way the correct temperature can be maintained with very low utility expenses. The older HVAC units can only make large adjustments to the temperature because it is either on or off. So there will be a lot more difference in your temperature ranges, and the machine will use more energy because it is always heating and cooling at it’s highest power. Look into all of the new HVAC features and find new ways to save on your energy bills. The new HVAC features will not only make your heating and cooling equipment more efficient, they will also make it easier to control the temperature in your home.
