Having problems with your air conditioner can be very frustrating. It seems like it always happens at the worst possible time. I had issues with my air conditioner recently and I tried to solve it myself. After wasting a few hours of my time I called a professional HVAC repair service. The technician was able to fix the machine in under an hour. After that I realized that you should always hire a professional. The cost of the repair was not very bad either and it was definitely not worth my time. The machine broke in the middle of the day on a hot summer day. I didn’t realize it had stopped working until I noticed the room was really warm. After further inspection I realized that the air conditioner was no longer working. I took the front panel of the unit and began inspecting the inner workings. Everything seemed to be working fine, but there was obviously a problem. The machine was filled with a lot of dust and I thought that might be the problem. I cleaned all of the dust out and still couldn’t get the machine to work. The HVAC technician informed me that there was dust in the motor. He said that having a lot of dust in the unit can make it break, especially if the dust gets in the motor. In the future I am going to schedule an annual HAVC tune-up so that this problem doesn’t happen again. If it has been a while since you had your machine cleaned call a HVAC service.
